Description

"A VSI (Vertical Shaft Impact) Sand Making Machine is the ultimate solution for producing high-quality manufactured sand (M-sand). Utilizing advanced 'Rock-on-Rock' and 'Rock-on-Anvil' crushing principles, HGHI VSI crushers apply high-velocity impact energy to reshape and crush minerals into perfect cubical particles. It is widely used in quarrying, aggregate plants, and mining sectors due to its high efficiency, excellent product shape, and exceptionally low wear parts cost."

Performance Advantages

  • Premium Particulate Shape: Produces high-quality, cubical manufactured sand (M-sand) that perfectly meets strict international concrete standards for high-speed railways and skyscrapers.
  • Versatile Operation: Supports seamless switching between 'Rock-on-Rock' (for premium shaping) and 'Rock-on-Anvil' (for high-efficiency crushing) to maximize output flexibility.
  • Cost-Effective OPEX: The 'Rock-on-Rock' crushing technology utilizes a natural rock lining to protect the main frame, drastically minimizing wear parts consumption and reducing operating costs.
  • Smart Maintenance: Equipped with premium tungsten carbide rotor tips and a hydraulic lid-lifting mechanism, allowing for effortless internal inspection and rapid wear parts replacement.
  • Eco-Friendly Performance: The unique internal air self-circulation system significantly reduces dust emissions and noise pollution, aligning with global green mine environmental standards.

Working Principle

"The HGHI VSI sand making machine operates on high-velocity impact energy. Material is fed into the center of the high-speed spinning rotor, where it is accelerated and launched into the crushing chamber. Under the 'Rock-on-Rock' mode, the launched stones violently collide with cascading material and a natural stone bed, crushing each other with minimal machine wear and producing a perfect cubical shape. Alternatively, the 'Rock-on-Anvil' mode directs material directly against steel liners for maximum crushing efficiency and higher sand output."

Materials undergo mutual impact, collision, friction and attrition.

Question&Answer

Q:What is the maximum feeding size for your VSI sand making machine?

The VSI impact sand making machine has two working conditions: sand making and aggregate shaping with different max feed sizes. Hard rock shall adopt smaller feed size to reduce wear of spare parts..

A:It depends on the feeding method. For Cascade & Center Feed, the max feeding size is ≤ 50-60 mm. For Entire Center Feed, it is ≤30-45 mm. However, to achieve the highest sand ratio and extend the lifespan of wear parts, we highly recommend an optimum feed size of 5-30 mm.

Q:What is the sand-making ratio (yield rate) of the machine?

Sand Yield Rate of VSI Impact Sand Making Machine

A:Generally, the primary sand-making ratio of our VSI crusher ranges from 25% to 45% in a single pass, depending on the material hardness, moisture content, and feed size. The remaining oversized material will be screened out and returned to the VSI for closed-circuit recrushing to achieve a 100% finished sand yield.

Q:How long do the rotor tips (wear parts) last when crushing hard rock?

A:Wear parts' lifespan heavily depends on the silica content of your material. For high-silica rocks like granite or river pebbles, our premium tungsten carbide Rotor Tips typically last 80 to 120 hours. For softer limestone, they can last over 300+ hours. We use a 3-piece combination rotor tip design, allowing you to replace only the worn part instead of the whole piece, saving 30% in maintenance costs.
